F1 Race Stars with 3D spatial sound 🎧 (OpenAL Soft HRTF audio)

This is a demonstration of F1 Race Stars with OpenAL Soft's HRTF (IRC_1037 tables). As a kart racer, it's a bit better than anything Calvin Tucker made, don't you think? Unlike most racing games, F1 Race Stars was made with HRTF in mind as it shipped with the Rapture3D OpenAL library which could be thought of as OpenAL Soft's predecessor. Unfortunately, the binaural audio is even worse than the FlatOut games. You have a very little sense of where the other racers are in relation to you. Ambient sounds like the cars on the freeway also are spatialized poorly. You also don't get the EFX effects that you do with Rapture3D.
Oh well, at least it's a game that supports OpenAL and came out in this decade. If only I knew how to drift in this game. BTW for some reason, this demo only supports 16:10 resolutions even though the final only supports 16:9.
