Factorio Tutorial #12 - Production science packs
80In this episode we make Production science packs. I've doubled the number of science labs - when we started, research took 30 seconds per cycle, and now some of the research takes 60 seconds, so we need twice as many labs to consume the science packs as fast as we can make them.
Production science packs are 2x per cycle, like Military science packs, which means we need half the number of assembly machines.
This is a tutorial let's-play series in Factorio version 0.15. This series is aimed towards newer players, or those who have been away from the game for a while. I will spend more than the usual amount of time explaining what I'm doing and why. The goal of this playthrough is to get to a fairly quick single rocket launch. I am playing without mods, and enemy bases are set to "None" (no biters) to put the focus on base-building.
