Fallout 3 Playthrough (No Commentary) Part 27: Reilly’s Rangers
This is a casual playthrough of Fallout 3, Karma decisions will be made according to what I feel is right.
This quest I'm actually not very familiar with, not sure if I ever did it before in past playthroughs. Since it requires going through the DC ruins, it's recommended you wait until you get decent gear before attempting the quest yourself.
While not necessary to start the quest, talking to Reilly allows you to get access to the ranger's compound and the code to unlock the ammo box from the dead ranger. The ammo can be given to the other rangers to help them fight off any super mutants you run into. I'd also recommend bringing a fission battery in case you have trouble finding the one in the hotel.
Successfully rescuing the rangers will allow you to sell any map location to Reilly after the quest for caps, this includes any locations you already found and is a really good way to make some easy money while playing, You don’t need to carry the Geomapper module, only to update any new locations to sell. (this does not work for DLC locations)
If all the rangers die then you will lose the opportunity to sell the locations to Reilly
In this part, We help a bunch of mercenaries while running into what seems like a war between the super mutants, the Enclave and the Talon Company.
