Fallout 3 Playthrough (No Commentary) Part 3: Megaton & Wasteland Survival Guide Chapter 1
0This is a casual playthrough of Fallout 3, Karma decisions will be made according to what I feel is right.
Welcome to our first hub town Megaton, likely the first place you’ll be visiting after you leave the vault as not only does it have a few shops but is also the location to start a few quests, including the very lengthy Wasteland Survival Guide quest line.
The main focus for the next few parts is going to help Moira write her book which requires visiting many parts of the wasteland and doing a variety of things, depending on if you complete the optional objectives and the responses you give to her on you report will determine how well the book is written and how good the rewards will be.
Alternatively you could just give her lies to ruin the book or even convince her to not write it altogether for a different reward, but overall I believe it’s more beneficial to go the extra mile with her research.
I do like Moira as a character though I will admit her voice is kinda tedious with how she keeps gasping for air loudly every 5 seconds. But I think having upbeat characters in a grim and bloody world is a good thing and her dialogue does give me a chuckle or two.
I also start some other quests for later so we can pick them up later. I still need to get some levels before I try to pick up the main plot since I don't want to pay Moiarty any caps.
…Oh right, the reason I killed Burke is not only because he deserves it, but when you disarm the nuke he disappears from Megaton and if you kill him then no one will punish you so i figured why the hell not? The silent 10mm is also a nice gun to have.
On this part, we get away with open murder, suck at hacking and start hoarding everything.
