Before starting the events at Hima, make sure you have a lot of Melange Gels from Thoda and make sure everyone is well-equipped, except for Kratos and Colette. The former will be booted out from the party for possibly the entire game while the latter won't be usable for the next few boss battles. Also, unlike me, set Sheena to only cast. You can talk with the party members, and Kratos isn't too pleased that we're just blindly accompanying the chosen without any real idea of what we're doing.

After the party uses the dragons to fly to the Tower of Salvation, Kratos and Colette rush to the seal ahead of everyone else. At the seal, it's revealed that Colette will lose her heart and become a vessel for Martel, and she complies because she thinks the world will be saved. Remiel is also pointlessly smug about the whole situation and doesn't bother to hide that he was deceiving the party all along.

[ 24:56 ] Boss: Remiel (Hard)

He has Photon, which can be hard to block due to its speed. He also has a lot of powerful light attacks, including an instant but weaker version of Judgement. Try not to use too many items during this fight, since there's an optional victory boss coming up.

[ 31:57 ] Boss: Kratos Aurion (Hard)

He's not at full health for some reason, but he's still going to be a long and hard fight due to his combo potential. He can outright cheat and chain artes of the same level or out of order, making it hard to find an opening. You'll want to use Paralysis and Stone Charms to mitigate his elemental damage. Hopefully, you also saved a decent supply of Lemon Gels for this fight.

If you somehow win the fight, you get an EX Gem 3 and a different cutscene. Then Yggdrasill shows up and reveals Cruxis and the Desians are one and the same. He will waste you, so don't waste any items or mental effort. Fortunately, the fake Desians, aka the Renegades, will save the party and explain the situation. Unfortunately, they still want to kidnap Lloyd because he's somehow the key to stopping Martel's resurrection.

There's no boss to fight, but the Sylvarant Base will still have some tricky block puzzles. After returning to the room that once housed the Raybit Sorcerer's Ring puzzle, go west and then north to hijack some Rheairds, which will take the party to Tethe'alla. There not enough fuel, so they end up crashing on Mount Fooji.

SME forced me to mute much of the video. I hate Youtube's copyright system. At this point, I may just start playing all non-indie games with no BGM, just so I can replace it with safe BGM in editing.
