Next, go to Luin to find that the entire city is in ruins, and not the kind Raine likes. Sheena is there as well, and is trying to help the survivors. Oh, and Clara is there too, though fortunately we don't have to fight her. Since Sheena's affection at this point wasn't high enough, she doesn't join yet. Either way, we need to go to Asgard Ranch to free the citizens from Kvar's clutches.
At the ranch, the party will beat up some Desians and take their clothes to sneak in. Unfortunately, our cover is blown when we run into Botta and his fellow fake Desians. When Kvar catches up to the party again, we learn that Lloyd's Exphere was made with his mother's life force, and that Lloyd's father had to kill her in her Exbelua form as mercy. Sheena then sacrifices her last Guardian to allow the party to escape.
At Hima, we find Pietro, who was cursed by the Desians. He knows of a way to sneak into the ranch, which is a rock covering a vent. Once you return to the ranch and sneak in, you'll have to split the party into groups of 3. I recommend putting Kratos and Raine into Lloyd's group, since Kratos seems to have a personal beef with Kvar and a second healer could be necessary for the boss. The other team won't have to fight a boss, but if they have no healer, make sure they have plenty of food ingredients.

This battle is going to be hell if you don't have Paralysis Charms, since the boss outnumbers you with his lightning elemental minions. Unlike me, you may want to take control of Kratos and have him use Light Spear to crowd control the enemies. Once the minions are taken care of, you'll have to move onto Kvar himself. He has lightning spells, a physical tech that also causes a magic lightning effect to occur, and a lightning elemental version of Guardian Field that hits a huge radius around him.
After the battle, Kvar deals a heavy injury to Colette, only to be kiled by Kratos in one of the greatest scenes in Tales history. At this point, Colette's sense loss is revealed to the entire party.
