Famitracker Bits - Short 8-Bit Selections from The L-Train's 'Moonrise'
We Double Feature now!
Songs included:
Act IV: Lunar March (0:00)
Act VI-VII: Daybreak/Harmony Restored (3:00)
Notes:
Both of the included songs used the Konami VCR6 Expansion Sound. Due to how intense and fast-paced Moonrise was originally, I had to preserve that in the demake, and it was a bit of a challenge, mainly because the original was Symphonic Metal as opposed to Orchestral (like with Bowser's Lava Lake Keep and Three on Three). With this in mind, I tried to keep the placement of instruments as close to what it would sound like on the NES as possible while still accounting for the sheer intensity of both songs. The normal sounds on the NES would not cut it; hence, the Konami VCR6.
Also on another note: I think that, out of all of the fanmusic out there for FiM, this is one of my all-time favorites, right up there with 'Lullaby for a Princess' and/or 'Euro!Discord'.
Finally, you should definitely check out the original composer's channel! He does a lot of metal - https://www.youtube.com/user/TheLTrain9000

Also if you're curious as to the image...I got it from the original video and converted it to C64 graphics using a tool I like to use on occasion.
