Preselecting Waypoints can help you incrementally shave some time off your run each time you use a waypoint. Preselecting waypoints is not necessarily a massive timesave, but it can help in the aggregate save a decent amount of time for little effort across an entire run. The technique becomes more important if you cannot use the /hideout trick in towns due longer load screens as it can help save some time every time you have to WP from town to another zone.

You can preselect WPs by (1) clicking on WP, (2) opening world map while running to WP, (3) placing cursor on destination, (4) closing world map, and (5) left clicking once world map opens again automatically upon reaching WP.
