FDS Exploiters Will Just Run Into You | Elden Ring
Although some may believe it to be intended, Fire's Deadly Sin combining with Bloodflame Blade is an exploit. Getting free damage through status effect build up just by running at an opponent is just not something that should happen. While IGN wasn't the first to display this combination with their "pvp build guide" they did get their name attached to it for their strong recommendation of it.
It could just be the high rune level range (RL200) but I encountered this exploit 3 times in a row on the stream these clips are from, the 3rd guy died to Clayman pve. Knowing that these players are taking a small amount of fire damage per tick you can just run and stall for their buffs to run out, wasting their fp and hp. However, consider that "overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer" and with them actively trying to run at you that you have an opportunity to use a high damage counter. In the cases they have a shield just be ready to kick it open and keep in mind that using an Invigorating Cured Meat can help keep the build up low.
