It sure feels good to complete this map so quickly, as it takes so long otherwise, especially if you feel obliged to recruit some of the characters that appear here. We miss out on a lot in this 2-turn clear but we also get quite a lot for the amount of time (turnwise) that we spend here.
The obvious thing is that nobody gets recruited in this video. Not Noah replacing Tate with a Killer Lance, not Astohl with Klein's HM bonuses (and E swords for whatever reasons), definitely not Zealot replacing Echidna (who needs him anyway; on the contrary, Echidna joining as a Hero in Zealot's chapter would've made a big change in, say, chapter 8, but the maker of the patch had to make her a Fighter). While Noah's Killer Lance would be nice, and I believe Astohl brings a White Gem, which is two pairs of Boots in itself, it's likely not worth it in the long run. Too many turns for a small benefit to what we're interested in here (turn count).
Instead of going all the way around, promoted Zeiss carries Karel (still not promoted to gain more accelerated experience) over the wall to where the boss is, nearly capable of landing in his attack range. Zeiss doesn't need to be promoted to drop Karel close enough to seize range for turn 2, but we do need the extra +2 str/spd on promo to cleanly 2HKO the chapter's boss. Zeiss's success chance is absurdly low, each hit being 27% displayed. Connecting two factoring in true hit makes us less than 3% likely to achieve the desired. Of course, it's just a matter of finding the right RNs, and it does take me a while to do so.
The reliable alternative (that we don't particularly care about as long as we can find a way out without path tracing abuse) is having Karel do his own bosskilling; however, the dancers would have to travel all across the map to give him the turn to seize. No problem with that; however, that means missing the Orion Bolt that is otherwise unreachable. I do want Dayan promoted eventually, and you've seen by now that he's turned into a fragile unit yet powerful offensively.
Some villages are visited for neat prizes like the Restore staff, some shopping is done, and Hugh even gets a round of combat in the arena to somewhat compensate for all the unreasonable shopping that I keep doing on this run (admittedly planning that has never been my strongest point as a player).
The Killer Bow crit on Karel on turn 1 enemy phase is a nice cliffhanger.
