Another map where having all these fliers is sure to pay off. On playthroughs without an unreasonably beefy and offensively Thany, your party has to resort to going around, patiently waiting for the next couple enemies to come and take you on, and of course losing a ton of turns. Our combo of fliers and dancers that you've probably been getting used to seeing sure does make things a little different.

Now, I have two recruitments to make on this map, and I wouldn't really say they particularly slow me down. One is Oujay, replacing Fir as a lv. 1 merc. As you can guess, he's terrible, and he doesn't even bring an Armorslayer with him to compensate for his awfulness as a character. However, I go ahead and recruit him anyway so that you can see what base level Roy looks like in Reverse Recruitment. Wouldn't be able to do it without Fir's replacement.

Barth, on the other hand, replaces Shin and is essentially equally useless. He needs to be recruited with Elphin, which is kind of a shame as that's one turn he could've given to improving an actually worthwhile character or fulfilling some sort of additional objective (e.g. "get to the Silver Sword village"). We need Barth to recruit Dayan's replacement later on during Sacae route, where we're sure to be going considering Elphin capped his level the same chapter Lalum joined. Without their recruitment, the good ending cannot be achieved, so that's that.

That said, I really don't think I could've really got a 2-turn completion if all the side objectives were entirely optional, or even pointless to pursue. I'd probably just barely be able to drop Karel in seize range on turn 2, have someone take a shot at attacking the boss, and then even if the boss somehow died, I'd have no more dances left to let Karel seize.

As for the bosskill, this is yet another case where having Hugh with doubling potential enables us to breeze through this obstacle. Hugh can even 2HKO the boss with Elfire while doubling! As you may have noticed, I sorta gave up trying to give Hugh decent level-ups, as I don't see myself relying him all that much in subsequent chapters. Miledy and Zeiss need a lot of care however, as flight cannot be underestimated, and while these two can be made to fight well (albeit still whiffing a lot at 1-2 range and with a crippling arrow weakness until the Delphi Shield is stolen, which isn't that long from now I suppose), you just can't make Hugh fly or have canto and a lot of movement (okay, you do get "unlimited" Boots later on, but you get what I'm trying to say here).

Still, I do make sure I buy a ton of Fire tomes here. Hugh is one user of these, but Clarine and Lugh are also joining soon, and I expect both to offer more utility and power than Hugh ever could.

Sadly, Karel doesn't really get to level-up much on this map at all. The next map though...
