Time for another gaiden chapter, the second one on this run, though they become quite abundant at this point. For its completion, we receive the S-rank axe the game offers; of course, there isn't an actual axe user for it so it's no less worthless than the S-rank light tome we'll be getting shortly, but it's a requirement for the good ending and full completion of the game so it has to be fulfilled.

Having two dancers really simplifies this map, and for the first time in the game, Zeiss and Karel are so self-sufficient that you don't need to send another horse/flier along with them - Zeiss drops Karel on each turn so that they can both act on the next, and then rescues him again to press forward. There's even a dance on turn 2 that I don't have any use for, because there are no more units around as I sent the rest of my army after... a Chest Key and a Torch (I forgot I'd already had one of the latter)? Well, Miledy and Dayan got some good levelups out of at least, and that's handy because they won't be roaming unpromoted for much longer (in fact, the next chapter is THE big map for promotions). Dayan growing key stats is especially remarkable considering his horrid growths across the board, strength and speed included.

The sole reason why Karel even gets promoted here in the first place is the boss's high speed, which prevents Karel from doubling him with his unpromoted stats. The promotion allows Zeiss to simply travel to another part of the map, unlocking the invaluable White Gem - Klein didn't join with one, so we need all the money we can get (especially considering how quickly I tend to spend it on all weapons of sorts).

As you can see, Karel was quite close to ramming his caps anyway, and all the bosskilling he can now confidently carry out on his own means his stats are going to stay very competitive, even though some of the Sacae route enemies we shall face very soon are hard-to-impossible to double.

All in all, quite a lax chapter for a change, and after the highly demanding chapter 12 it is a welcome change indeed.
