FF7 Hard Mod - Low Level No Items - Gi Nattak
4This a modified version of FF7 which enhances the HP/MP and stats of enemies and bosses. Don't bother with asking me where to find it. Google will be your loyal guide and friend.
I could end this fight easily with just Aeris if she had a full limit gauge, casted Planet Protector, then spammed Life and hope that it connects on Gi Nattak.
That wouldn't be fun though so I decided to take on Gi Nattak without using Life on it.
The result is a fight tougher than the Stingers, but still easy compared to bosses like Dyne or Jenova-BIRTH.
I open up with Lunatic High, Planet Protector, and a White Wind targeted at Gi Nattak. Thanks to the HP Pluses I bought earlier (4 each for Cloud and Aeris, the 2 remaining ones going to Red), Cloud and Aeris do a nice chunk of damage with WW. Of course, MP won't last quite long enough to simply spam it. After Aeris and Cloud have both casted 2-3 WWs, they revert to casting Cure on Gi Nattak to preserve MP just incase something unexpected happens. Red is casting Cure on the boss as well for a nice chunk of damage as well.
Once PP wears off, Gi Nattak is usually down to 25% or so of its 8800 HP in this mod. The Soul Fires are mostly harmless. Aeris has the Fire Ring to block Fire2's damage while Red has Elemental-Fire in his armor to halve it.
Gi Nattak's Aspil can stop someone like Aeris or Red cold in casting spells, draining about 90 or so MP. Drain isn't much of a concern (The HP it gains back can easily be erased and then some by a Cure spell). It's his physical attack that's the concern here. Even with it blinded, it doesn't seem to help at all with seeing more misses which stinks cause his physicals do ~1400+ dmg to anyone in the back row, easily an OHKO on anyone. I just have to make sure Aeris is the only one alive when Gi Nattak is around 1500 or so HP and smack it twice with her WW at full HP to kill it.
Got nice luck here with Gi Nattak killing off Red and Cloud right when I needed it.
