FFIX Excalibur II Perfect Game (Version X) - 02 I Want To Be Your Canary & The Dreaded Swordfight
Items: 29 Gil, 63 Gil, 92 Gil, 10000 Gil, Moonstone
For 98% of players who attempt this challenge, they usually quit here. Why? The sword fight! Getting 100 nobles is so G*# D*$& hard! Once you get to the battle before the hard part, take out Zenero and Benero to cut down on that time-consuming Poly magic. It takes at most 5 to 6 attacks against the king to proceed.
For the sword fight, accuracy is a must and you must be swift to impress all 100 nobles. You will start out with X and Triangle, then Left and Right will enter the mix, then Up and Down, and lastly [] and O will come in about half-way through. There are 49 commands total and you get 2 nobles impressed if you enter the proper command swiftly. The lowest score you can get is 1 and if you get all 49 buttons right and fast, you get the 1 noble bonus! You need the 10000 Gil so you can finance your first batch of Cotton Robes when you get to Lindblum, plus the Moonstone is a missable item so without it, your perfect game is instantly forfeited!
After Steiner scolds the first two knights, run up to Queen Brahne and claim your Moonstone, then return to the moogle and SAVE!
Target Time - 18:00
Gil - 10,811
Note: I got the perfect battle with the King so I completed the circuit with or without the 100 nobles, so I edited in the 100 nobles and Moonstone acquisition once I recorded them on my Dazzle recording device. I have been trying for days to get 100 nobles and the only way I could do it was by trying over and over without regard for time. I will continue to try to get it in one go but for now, this video will fill the gap between parts 1 and 3 for continuity sake......Don't judge me.
