The first thing we should worry about is killing Lady. She's only got 9999 HP, but may inflict sleep on Locke, revive Rest when it dies but, most importantly (and annoyingly), heals herself and Rest with White Wind. Defeating her is tough, not only because she casts White Wind all the time, but also because she is healed by Meltdown, constantly used by Rest, and that means White Wind heals her for more HP than it otherwise would (most people know this, but, FYI, White Wind heals the party for the number equal to the caster's current HP). Furthermore, Meltdown heals Locke as well, making Valient Knife's damage lower and Lady harder to defeat.

I even got put to sleep here and woke up at full health, so I attacked myself once to increase the damage potential. Killing Lady would be much easier with a high-leveled character, but I wanted to beat the game at a lower level (not necessarily lowest possible which would be rather tedious and too dependent on luck).

Once Lady dies, Rest remains alone. Here's out plan: first we reduce his HP a bit, then we go to the back row and equip the Lightbringer for defence. This is the setup we're ending this battle with and also the setup we'll be fighting the final Kefka.

Now, the Safety Bit relic may prevent us from getting owned by the persistent Doom spell, but only luck can save us from his deathcounter Repose. Or is it just luck? I put my Magicite Shards to good use here, just using them one after another and hoping I get something like Fenrir or Golem. Halfway through, I remember that there's a summon that actually hurts the summoner and heal Locke with an Elixir just for safety, in case that one rears its ugly head. I cure myself from Seizure (or was it called Sap?) and get the nice Shell status on myself in the process of using Magicite. Once Fenrir appears, I am satisfied and just finish the boss off, advancing to the epic final battle (shown in the next video).
