FFVIA - Locke Solo Part V: Kefka's Tower 1/3
Locke's epic adventures in Kefka's Tower, first video. Also includes recordings of battles I didn't really have to do but did anyway because I was passing through.
My first impulse after getting Locke and the awesome sword Ragnarok was to beat everyone up in the game's final dungeon. The first boss I battled was Inferno. He relies on lightning spells a lot, so I equipped Thunder Shield. Since I'm not supposed to learn any spells, I had to actually count down Inferno's HP and equip the stupid Mythril Shield not to gain any Magic Points. Hermes Sandals for speed and Ribbin to protect Locke from getting stoned.
There's one time in the battle I attack one of the arms, and you may ask what the reason for that is. Nothing, my fingers slipped and I didn't mean to do that.
After I wasted Inferno, I questioned why I had that awful Mythril Shield in my inventory (which I had equipped since the second I got Locke), so I went to get another Thunder Shield and turn it into a Genji Shield. I show my strategy for the battle against the Ninja, who is not hard himself, but you need to be lucky and have Locke attack him instead of trying to steal (which happened a lot of times and made me repeat this over and over).
Very soon though, I got an Aegis Shield, which is, I believe, much better, and I regretted bothering to get the Genji Crap. Oh well.
I also fought Storm Dragon while opening chests around the world, and I used the same strategy I had previously used against Ultima Weapon.
Then I went back to Kefka's Tower and challenged Ultima Buster himself. This was fun, and you want to know why? I was reckless and took risk, not healing as much as I'm supposed to. There are at least three cases where I could've been killed, but, you know, no need to do things the boring way. I first take bosses on a few times trying to be as ballsy as possible and only then do it properly. This time the first attempt was also the most entertaining one, so I decided to keep it.
The reason why I'm "lucky" is actually statistically explained: Locke does have an awesome evade, both physical and magical.
