Own Sphere Grid, Rikku Only, No Items, No Overdrives, No Customise, No Spare Change\n\n\nStats: HP 5460, Str 43, Def 21, Mag Def 22, Agi 59, Luck 22\n\nEquipment: Hot Knuckles (Firestrike; bomb-dropped), Haste Targe (SOS-Haste), Regen Targe (SOS-Regen, HP +10%), Shell Targe (SOS-Shell), Soft Targe (Stone Ward)\n\n\nFor some reason I wasn't able to edit Tidus and Wakka out of the party for this one; also there are some graphical glitches in the battle, due to the emulator (more specifically, due to the hacks I'm using to try and make the emulator work faster).\n\nAnyway, I added the HP Sphere from the Bevelle trials. Started in SOS HP with the Haste Targe equipped. Evrae Altana doesn't resist fire so Rikku's using the bomb-dropped Hot Knuckles.\n\nI could have made things easier by breaking the locks (Evrae doesn't counterattack if you break through the locks and fight in the third area) but doing it this way isn't much harder so I didn't bother. Altana's attack pattern is Stone Gaze, Photon Spray (repeat). Every time Rikku attacks Evrae will counter. Fortunately Stone Gaze is far less dangerous than in the first battle because its petrification only has a 50% infliction rate (so it is completely blocked by Stone Ward) and the horrible monster Delay is gone.\n\nIts just a case of healing with SOS-Regen, switching to the Shell or Soft Targe depending on what Evrae's using next and making sure Rikku has enough HP before attacking. Getting two crits sped things up a bit - after the second one I knew Evrae would die from the next attack and since it can't counter when its dead I could attack it again right away rather than having to heal.
