Own Sphere Grid, Rikku Only, No Items, No Overdrives, No Customise, No Spare Change\n\n\nStats: HP 4960, Str 43, Agi 59, Luck 22\n\nEquipment: Daydreamer (Sleeptouch), Break Knuckles (Stonetouch, Str +5%), Eye Poker (Darktouch, Str +3%), Regen Targe (SOS-Regen, HP +10%)\n\n\nIn most challenges this boss is easy because of his vulnerability to Sleep and Darkness. In this case things can easily go wrong because we only have Sleeptouch and Darktouch, which will inflict a status on Wendy just 30% of the time - Sinspawn Gui drops Sleepstrike but Rikku wasn't in the party at that point.\n\nI was lucky and put him to sleep with the first attack. I then switched to the Break Knuckles because if you petrify the Guado Guardian on the right then he won't cast Protect on Wendigo as he dies; unfortunately it didnt work so Rikku was dealing half damage for the rest of the fight. I realised afterwards I should have just ignored that guardian until Wendigo was down, but never mind. \n\nTowards the end I switched to the Eye Poker because with Darkness we can continue to attack while he's (pretty much) unable to hurt us.\n\nYou'll notice Rikku actually had time to kill both guardians at the beginning of the battle (which would have prevented Berserk being used on Wendigo). I deliberately didn't do this because when he's under Berserk he'll just attack, whereas he'll sometimes use his double-fist attack when not Berserked (which does the same damage as a Berserked attack and is not affected by Darkness).\n\nI thought I'd almost certainly need SOS-Haste for Evrae so had to refight this battle until I got it, which took a while because unlike most bosses Wendigo only drops equipment 50% of the time.
