Game: Final Fantasy V
Port: Steam

Omega Mark II. The superboss we all love and hate. He lives in the Throne Room near the bottom of the Sealed Temple. You must go through a puzzle of dodging smaller Omegas to throw a series of switches to unlock his room. Once you access him, be ready to go to war.

The reward for slaying him is an achievement, bragging rights and the Force Shield, which protects the person wielding it from ANY elemental attack. It will help on your support mages for Neo-Shinryu and Enuo.

This video is but the first of three to show the apotheosis that Rapid-Fire is not necessary to win this game.

PLAN
=====
Omega Mark II is the cutting edge of the Omega Line. Now faster, stronger damage output, thicker defenses, 100 Evasion and 2 new defense feature: Barrier Change and Remedy.

Like with Melusine, he can change his elemental weakness. He will do it any time he is struck with his weakness to either Fire, Lightning or Ice. You must bounce Libra off an ally to find out what it is each time. If you rely on Spellblade for damage, adjust your Spellblade accordingly for maximum damage. Or play it safe and use Flare Sword, but make sure you at least Off-Guard/Turtle Soup once or twice as he has 200 Physical Defense.

If you do use Rapid Fire and you fail to destroy him in 1 barrage, he will do one of 3 things: He will either Erase a person with Encircle, do nothing or cast Remedy, which will immediately fully repair him. He also does this check equal to the number of weapons in your hand. Odds are someone is gonna get Banished or he will repair. Pray his counter misses.

But seeing as his defense measures make him more annoying and I really don't like bouncing Reflect spells just to waste a turn to recharge my Spellblade, I basically did the same thing I did last time: Dragon Kissed the party to prevent Rocket Punch and Encircle from doing shit, Turtle Souped his armor (he has 200 Defense) but amped up the Curaga and X-Potion usage due to increased speed and threw in Lenna with 2 Dragon Lances (Dragon Kissing Omega Mark II so they will do bonus damage). As for Spellblade, I just stuck to good ol' Flare Sword (which I only have to put up with 25 defense vs 200).

You can still spam Romeo's Ballad, but it won't last as long. If you go through with that strategy, you will need at least 2 singers and you need to spread out your music playing to ensure he is Stop locked.

TEAM
=====
Farris - Freelancer (Spellblade, Aim)
Lenna - Freelancer (Jump, White Magic)
Bartz - Freelancer (Time Magic, Mix)
Krile - Mime (Mix, White Magic, Blue Magic)

STATS
======
Level 97
HP: 65000
MP: 60000
Strength: 195
Magic: 200
Defense: 200
Resistance: 200
Evasion: 100
Absorbs everything. Can cycle weakness between Fire, Ice and Lightning through Barrier Shift.

ABILITIES
========
Omega Mark II comes equipped with Auto-Reflect.
Barrier Change - Changes weakness to either Fire, Ice or Lightning. Will cast on round 1 and cast again if struck with weakness to adapt. May roll same weakness.
Encircle - Attempts to Banish a party member. Dragon Kiss negates this.
Rocket Punch - Deals damage equal to 1/2 of the target's current HP and confuses them. Dragon Kiss negates this.
Remedy - Fully repairs Omega Mk. II. Will cast it as a counter to Rapid Fire if he survives it. Will heal another player if you do so after he Searches.
Flamethrower - Fire elemental damage to 1 or all party members. Fire Rings absorb this.
Search - Picks a target to fire Rainbow Wind, Mustard Bomb or Flamethrower. Oddly, if you fail to kill via Rapid Fire, Remedy will target the person under Search instead.
Mustard Bomb - Non elemental damage to 1 party member. Mighty Guard is recommended to survive this.
Blaster - Can either paralyze or instant kill a target. Dragon Kiss can protect against the instant death Genji items prevent paralysis.
Rainbow Wind - Can either Blind or Silence a target.
Wave Cannon - Deals damage to all party members equal to 50% of the character's maximum health and leaves Sap status. Can miss. Use Curaga constantly or mix an X-Potion if it is 1 person.
Earthquake - Deals earth damage to entire party. Can be negated via Float on Mighty Guard.
