Previously, Heorot gained some fame and did the quest "Tenshodo Membership" to join that pirate, er, private organization. Then, he began Bastok Mission 4-1: "Magicite". He must gather Magicite from Beadeaux, Davoi, and Castle Oztroja to prevent the resurrection of the Shadow Lord. However, he needs key items to reach the Magicite. He acquired the Silver Bell from Aldo of Tenshodo. Then, he infiltrated Beadeaux. He defeated De'Vyu Headhunter and Go'Bhu Gascon to get a Quadav Charm and a Quadav Augury Shell. Now, he will farm for another needed item, Coeurl Meat. He will carry out quests in Jeuno to gather the other key items needed to reach the Magicite hidden in Beadeaux, Davoi, and Castle Oztroja. Finally, he will return to Beadeaux to get the Magicite there.

Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He exits to the Bastok Mines.

Bastok Mines (time 1:00):

To gather Coeurl Meat, Heorot will farm Coeurls in Meriphataud Mountains. So, he uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Meriphataud Mountains, Aragoneu.

Meriphataud Mountains (time 1:45):

Heorot runs around Meriphataud Mountains in search of Coeurls. In the process, he gets lost in the northeast of the Galesmouth south of Drogaroga's Spine for a little while. Sorry about that! The ridges can make it hard to cross this area.

Finally, around J-7, Heorot begins encountering Coeurls (time 12:51). At his level, they are too weak to worry about. If your level is on par with theirs, be careful of their Blaster attacks. More Coeurls spawn in the northeast, near the exit to the Zi'Tah Sanctuary.

Heorot soon acquires the Coeurl Meat needed (time 16:49). Fantastic!

At the Aragoneu Outpost, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at E-5 to teleport to Ru'Lude Gardens, Jeuno.

Ru'Lude Gardens (time 21:28):

Heorot teleports via Home Point to Upper Jeuno.

Upper Jeuno (time 22:04):

At G-8, Heorot speaks to an Elvaan child named Baudin standing outside a house. Heorot needs the Crest of Davoi to get to Davoi's Magicite. For that he must give Baudin a slice of Coeurl Meat. Heorot accepts. This starts the quest "Crest of Davoi".

Heorot trades the Coeurl Meat to Baudin. Baudin gives him the Crest of Davoi, the permanent key item needed to reach Davoi's Magicite. A slightly disturbing scene ensues within Baudin's house. Sorry, Baudin. "Crest of Davoi" complete!

Heorot teleports by Home Point to Lower Jeuno.

Lower Jeuno (time 27:18):

Heorot heads into Neptune's Spire and then into Tenshodo Headquarters. At J-8, he talks to a Tarutaru named Sattal-Mansal. According to Sattal, Heorot needs more than the Silver Bell to reach the depths of Beadeaux. He will also need a Coruscant Rosary and a Black Matinee Necklace. For the Coruscant Rosary, Heorot must bring a Quadav Charm, dropped by De'Vyu Headhunter in Beadeaux. For the Black Matinee Necklace, Heorot must bring Go'Bhu Gascon's Quadav Augury Shell. This starts the respective quests "Mysteries of Beadeaux I" and "Mysteries of Beadeaux II".

First, Heorot trades the Quadav Charm to Sattal-Mansal. Sattal rewards him with the Coruscant Rosary, a permanent key item. "Mysteries of Beadeaux I" complete!

Then, Heorot trades the Quadav Augury Shell to Sattal-Mansal. Sattal rewards him with the other permanent key item, the Black Matinee Necklace. "Mysteries of Beadeaux II" complete!

After leaving Tenshodo HQ and Neptune's Spire, Heorot heads back up to Upper Jeuno.

Upper Jeuno (time 31:53):

At I-8, Heorot talks to Paya-Sabya, a Tarutaru. A cutscene takes place involving Fickblix and Verena. After the scene, Fickblix heads to Muckvix's place.

Heorot teleports to Lower Jeuno.

Lower Jeuno (time 35:29):

At H-9 on the low level, Heorot enters Muckvix's Junk Shop. Don't worry about the Goblins; they are non-hostile.

At H-10 in the back room, Heorot talks to the owner, Muckvix. A scene takes place. Heorot will need a Yagudo Torch to get to the Magicite in Castle Oztroja. When Fickblix arrives, he gives Heorot the Yagudo Torch, the last of the permanent key items needed. I'm a little worried about Fickblix, too. We'll have to look out for him in Castle Oztroja.

Now, Heorot can begin gathering the Magicite from the three beastman strongholds. He will start with Beadeaux, since he has been there before.

Heorot teleports to Ru'Lude Gardens.

Ru'Lude Gardens (time 42:38):

Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-10 to teleport to Beadeaux, Derfland.
