We finally reach the top of the Pharos where lies the Sun-Cryst, and as Ashe hesitates on which path to follow, Gabranth appears to spur her to follow the path of revenge!
Naturally, it quickly turns into a fight against the Judge Magister, which is relatively simple, Gabranth only uses physical attacks, so keep Protect up, especially on Basch, if you use him, because he will be the main target! When the Judge reaches 50% HP, a cutscene will start which changes depending on Basch's presence in your active party. After that, he'll be immune to Magick for 2 minutes and immediately use Guilt, a single-targeting cutscene attack that deals far too little damage for how cool it looks!
Once you finish Gabranth, you won't have time to recover before some cutscenes lead in a second boss battle, against Doctor Cid this time!
He fights in a manner very similar to the first fight with him and is still weak to Holy, he also fights alone, making this fight simpler than the one at Draklor... at least at first.
When he reaches 50% HP, he'll summon his own Esper, Famfrit, which is Water-elemental. As such, he's weak to Fire and susceptible to Oil, hopefully you picked up the Gungnir earlier in the Pharos to help with exploiting that weakness, Shell will help to reduce the Esper's damage.
Also, as long as Famfrit is on the field, Cid will keep reapplying Perfect Defense on himself, so focus all your efforts on the Esper to take it down, then, once Cid is vulnerable again, you can finish the fight relatively easily.
After that, it's cutscene time!
