At last we face Vayne himself! And he's originally a pretty easy boss, Larsa will assist the party but won't do too much, he'll do some chip damage and generally keep himself alive, but don't expect more.
When Vayne reaches 50%, a cutscene will start and will be followed by him using Mach Wave, an attack... that is barely stronger than his regular attacks, after that, he'll have increased Defense, reducing the damage you deal to him by 33%, later in the fight, he'll use Force of Will, an area attack that deals decent damage this time!
After disposing of him, he'll transform into his second form, Vayne Novus, and a new fight will start, with the party being assisted by Gabranth this time!
Vayne will have 5 Sephiras accompanying him, these swords only perform weak physical attacks on your party but can Immobilize your characters on hit, so you might want to deal with them first.
Meanwhile, the boss will use Tier 3 spells on you, so either be ready to cast Shell on the party or to heal. When he reaches 50% HP, a cutscene will start, after which the boss will have his buffs refreshed, he also has a few cutscene attacks he can use, but he only used Inviolable Will against me here, dealing relatively low area damage. Once Vayne falls again, you'll have some cutscenes... and a third fight will begin!
The Undying is the true final boss of the game and uniquely has no health bar to be able to estimate how much damage you're dealing to him so don't let your guard down during this fight!
In addition to his Gun attacks that pierce your Defense, he uses a plethora of Piercing Magicks, including Piercing Dispelga, so Reflect is useless during this fight, he also has Megaflare and a cutscene attack called Ascension that deals good damage to your entire party, so be ready to heal.
When he's weakened enough, he'll use Chain Magick immediately followed by Faith, Dispel that ASAP before he has a chance to use his next action, casting a Magick Barrier that makes him immune to your spells, including Dispel!
When you weaken him enough with physical attacks, he'll change his strategy and use Enrage followed by Bravery and Force Barrier to be immune to physical attacks before using Gigaflare Sword, a powerful AoE attack!
When weakened enough, he'll erect a Perfect Barrier to make himself invincible and will use Gigaflare Sword again! If you're like me and go him to that threshold right after the previous one, this means you'll take two powerful attacks one after another, which will hurt!
After surviving that, focus on healing and buffing (Despite the boss' Piercing Dispelga) while The Undying is still invincible.
Once he uses Teraflare, his ultimate attack, his Paling will fall and you'll be able to deal damage again, at this point, it's time to go all-out to finish the fight as quickly as possible!
Once done, give yourself a pat on the back and enjoy the ending! (Even though since Kiss me Goodbye is copyrighted, there's no sound at all here, oops.)
As for me, I still have a lot of optional content to show, so this playthrough isn't done yet!
