To recruit Galzus you need to bring Maretta and have her in the central part, otherwise you will have to use Rescue or Warp Staff. Be very careful with Galzus, not only because of his movement and weapons, but also because he has a 25% chance of a 2nd action with a Follow Up Critical Multiplier of 3. This makes him quite dangerous, but he also has Astra and Luna.
To nullify all the critical, bring some scroll and equip it, that will nullify the critical and the FCM. If you decide to use Maretta, and put him up front, if you still have Maretta Sword bring it and equip it at all times when facing Galzus, it will nullify the 2 skills he has, Astra and Luna. Don't worry, because if you have a 1-1 ranged weapon equipped, the enemy will always attack at range if possible, so try to put yourself in an ideal position, not only to block Galzus from reaching the rest of the units on his 2nd action if it happens, but also not to suffer 2 consecutive attacks at the same time, And bear in mind that he will have the Master variant, which in 2 consecutive turns is 4 times and if the speed difference is 4 or more, he will attack you 8 times. Combine that with Astra and Luna and I guarantee that you won't survive unless you are very lucky.
That's why it's recommended to take primarily a scroll with Nihil skill. If in which case you don't use Maretta, you can use another strategy like Nanna+ Diarmuid+ Kingmaker with a unit with a fairly high AVOID, to dodge Galzus' attacks, even if he activates Astra. That's why it's hard to recruit Galzus, but he can help you a lot in the last chapter.
In case you don't have Maretta, because he has been killed. You will have to kill Galzus, and here it is much easier, because you can use the Berserker Staff on Galzus here and believe me it will destroy him, but be aware that the Bishops next to the boss have Restore, just use it when he is far away from them. You can also use Sleep, so it doesn't become a problem.
In this chapter is where you can use the Member Card, the room on the top right that is not connected. To do this use Warp or Rewarp, after that you will need a Key Door or Lockpicks to open the door, and the Member Card when you stand on the same square where the door was, from there you will get an extra option, from there you can buy Permanent Stats Rings, if you happen to have Shannam, bring him along as he is the only character that has the Bargain skill which reduces the cost by 50% and he will be able to buy more.
Buy rings that you really need for the final chapter or for the next 2 chapters if you decide to go for the Gaiden Chapter. Generally it is highly recommended to go for Life Ring, it increases your HP quite a lot, and for units that have low HP and usually get into combat it can be quite useful, even those that have good HP can use it. But it all depends on what your group needs.
For the Gaiden Chapter you need 2 things, first you have to have Sara and second the Kaia Staff. Once you have these 2 things you can access the Gaiden Chapter.
To get the Kaia Staff, you need to open the door, and it is not possible to open it with Unlock, Door Key or Lockspicks.
The only way to open it, is for one of the civilians who has the key to open the door, the one who has the key will go to the door first before escaping. As you can see none of them have any key in their stats and you won't know who really has the key so you will have to save all the civilians.
Also be very careful, because behind the throne only on Turn 8 a Sorcerer will appear with the Unlock Staff BE VERY CAREFUL!
If you have opened the door the chest will be exposed, and from there the Sorcerer can open and steal the Kaia Staff so it is recommended that before you open the door this Sorcerer comes out and kill him so you can open the chest, but usually the Sorcerer arrives first long before you open the door, but in which case if this happens, you will be forced to use the Warp/rewarp Staff, capture the unit and recover the Kaia Staff.
