Now that Merlinus has joined the group,you can start storing items with him. it was at this point I added Transfer items from the main menu,these were a bonus for having the Mario Kart Double Dash bonus disc. Mostly stat increasing items,and a few weapons. Anyway,Eliwood and co reach Laus Castle. The Marquess's son Erik has rode out to meet them offering false friendship,but Hector sees through his guise. Joining you this chapter are Merlinus the storage guy,and Hannah the fortune teller,pay her gold and she'll give advice on the stage. This chapter you're gonna have a lot of Cavalier units to worry about,they're all over the place here. Lowen should be able to handle most of them,but Hector and Dorcas can provide support too if needed. Erk the Mage will appear as an NPC from the northwestern village about a turn into the chapter,you'll have to talk to him with Serra to get him to join. Pirates will also appear from the water after about 2 turns,so watch out for them since pirates can cross water. I like to leave Guy behind to guard Merlinus since he's not too useful here. It can also rain this chapter,impeding both you and your enemy's movement. Make your way slowly west towards the castle,and the boss.
