If you want to do the Side Quest,one of them has to live at least,so use Rescue with 3 units to keep them alive. Around that time those Cavaliers had finished off Merlinus as my distraction,but that's okay,I'm ready for them now. Shamans also start appearing from that empty room next to where Raven was. Speaking of Raven,have him talk to Lucius and he will join your group again as well. He can take of the Shamans easily. Once the cavaliers are dealt with,continue north. Another chest room guarded by a Knight,there's a Knight Crest and Silver Sword in these chests. Take care of the final Knights,then it's boss time. BOSS: Bernard. A mighty General unit with a Steel Lance. No ranged weapon,but you'll likely barely hurt him with arrows and such anyway. Heavy Spears, Hammers,and Hector's Wolf Beil axe are all good suggestions for this guy. After the fight,the party runs into Leila,a spy from Ostia,working working with the Black Fang. Apparently Eliwood's father is alive. She talks about the Black Fang,and about the rebellion that Ephidel was trying to start. Eliwood's father may be found on the Island of Valor,known as the Dread Isle. I saved the Soldier NPC's,so I get the Side Quest next chapter,and a Red Gem to boot. Not too shabby.
