Alear and her forces make it to the Fort on the Border, which is the border between Brodia and Elusia. They find Morion, who has challenged Hyacinth, the king of Elusia, to a battle, but before Diamant and the others can go and help him, Ivy stops them, and this time she doesn't get an Emblem Ring for her previous failure.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Here is the Chapter 9 battle, but we get a cutscene where Morion leads his army against the Elusian forces, only for Hyacinth to get out his Emblem Ring and use it to deliver a fatal blow, but neither Diamant or any of our allies know that Morion is killed or not, or if he is just knocked out from the blow, then Ivy shows up to buy the Elusian forces time in taking Morion away, but because of her failure at Brodia Castle, Hyacinth refuses to give Ivy another Emblem Ring.
Chapter 9 takes place at the Fort on the Border, and we have to deal with Ivy, and this time without an Emblem Ring, you will want to bring an Archer like Alcryst to help against Ivy, and you will want to bring Diamant for this battle, this is because there is a new unit you can recruit in this battle.
The new unit you can recruit is Jade, she is another one of Diamant's retainers, and she is an Armored Knight with a preference of axes, and to recruit her, you need to have Diamant or Alear talk to her. Her best stats are HP and Defense, but she has less Defense than Louis, and I have seen players refer to Jade as one of the worse units in the game, her Personal Skill is Meditation, which provides +2 resistance if she waits on that turn, but on an Armored unit which is weak to magic attacks, she can even work in another class like Griffin Knight or Mage Knight, whichever can work best for her.
Ivy's retainers will move to their forts, and they can summon reinforcements, Kagetsu will move to the northern fort and two Sword Fighters appear from there, while Zelkov moves to the southern fort to bring in some Thieves, and these two can be challenging opponents. As with items, you can get Elsurge from a Mage, this is a more powerful version of Surge where it is a tome that only works at close range, a Lance Armor drops a Spirit Dust, this permanently boosts a unit's Magic stat by 2, and there is a Martial Monk that prioritizes on Chain Guarding Ivy once she starts moving, this one drops a Steel-Hand Art.
Then for the battle with Ivy, and the music that plays when you fight her is Enforcer of Knowledge, which plays when you fight an Elusian princess. She has Elfire, and her skill of Single-Minded boosts her hit rate when fights the same opponent twice in a row. Bows are your best weapon to use against her, and getting in some Chain Attacks can also help in the fight, she doesn't have an Emblem Ring for this one, but her Elfire can deal some good damage to your units.
After the battle, Ivy tells Alear and the others where Hyacinth is taking Morion to, and how he has changed since the awakening of the Fell Dragon, and then we get to explore Fort on the Border, and for some reason get information about Emblem Leif, despite having obtained his Emblem Ring at the end of the previous chapter.
