The second week in a row where I choose the Pokémon for this week, and the Pokémon that I went with is Happiny, and in previous generations, to get one, you had to give a Chansey or Blissey the Luck Incense to get Happiny from Eggs, but it would require having to evolve it with the Oval Stone, as Happiny itself cannot breed.
I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and I went with Bold for the Nature, as its evolved forms are in the top 5 highest HP stat in the game, and Bold with some Defense investment allows it to take Physical Attacks better, and I didn't go for the Hidden Ability of Friend Guard, which turns into Healer when it evolves into Chansey, and while good for Tera Raids, Natural Cure and Serene Grace are preferred for online battles.
For Egg Moves, Happiny can learn Seismic Toss, Present, and Gravity, and while there is data on Heal Bell as an Egg Move, there are no Pokémon that are currently available that can learn Heal Bell. For Pokémon that can learn those moves, Seismic Toss from the Mankey and Makuhita lines, Present from Delibird, and Gravity is learned by a very few Pokémon, for level up options, Stonjourner and Sandy Shocks are the two Pokémon that can learn it, while Bronzor and Igglybuff learn it as an Egg Move.
To evolve Happiny, it needs to be holding an Oval Stone and level up in the daytime, you can find Oval Stones on wild Chansey, and the best areas to find Chansey are North Province Area Three, near the Fairy Crew Base and the Secret Cave in Area Zero, and it requires Friendship to evolve into Blissey. For level up moves, Happiny can learn Pound, Copycat, Defense Curl, Sweet Kiss, Disarming Voice, Covet, and Charm. For its evolved forms, they can learn Tail Whip, Echoed Voice, Life Dew, Sing, Fling, Take Down, Heal Pulse, Helping Hand, Light Screen, Double-Edge, Soft-Boiled, Last Resort, and Healing Wish.
Next are TMs, I will start which what moves Chansey can learn, and some that Blissey can learn which Chansey cannot. It can get Water Pulse, Trailblaze, Chilling Water, Bulldoze, Swift, Icy Wind, Rock Tomb, Stored Power, Body Slam, Zen Headbutt, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Drain Punch, Dazzling Gleam, Grass Knot, Thunder Wave, Stomping Tantrum, Rock Slide, Skill Swap, Shadow Ball, Stealth Rock, Hyper Voice, Psychic, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Calm Mind, Ice Beam, Electric Terrain, Fire Blast, Blizzard, Thunder, Wild Charge, Earthquake, Giga Impact, Focus Blast, Hyper Beam, Solar Beam, and Tera Blast. For moves which Blissey can learn, it can get Avalanche, and desite all of these moves, Blissey has a very low Attack stat, and while its Special Attack stat is decent, it isn't the highest.
Throughout their competitive history, Blissey has remained a top tier Special wall, and after the introduction of the Eviolite, Chansey was used more than Blissey. The evolution line uses moves like Soft-Boiled, which did get nerfed to 5 PP, and this has affected almost every recovery move, other moves include Stealth Rock, Thunder Wave, and Seismic Toss, while Blissey can make use of Serene Grace with moves like Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, and Thunderbolt, and it can use Calm Mind to boost its Special stats. Best Tera Types for Blissey are Fairy, Ghost, and Flying, anything that resists Fighting-type moves, while Dark is listed, it's to give it an immunity to Prankster from opponents like Sableye or Klefki. In the current format, Blissey is ranked 61st, while Chansey is ranked 84th.
In Double Battles, they don't get used that much, even though they do get some nice support moves like Helping Hand and Heal Pulse, and Chansey was very infamous on a team that used Shuckle or Carbink where they would use Guard Split to make Chansey very difficult to defeat, and Chansey would use Minimize to make attacks fail to hit it, that is unless you have a move like Body Slam which never misses and doubles in power when a Pokémon uses Minimize. Chansey can no longer learn Minimize, and for possible moves, it can use Life Dew and Gravity to help its team out, and it has Chilling Water to decrease the opponent's Attack stat. Chansey is ranked 147th in the current format, and if you are wondering which Pokémon are placed 148th to 150th, those Pokémon are Slaking, Eelektross, and Appletun. While defensive walls don't tend to be used in Double Battles, Chansey is outclassed by Amoonguss, Garganacl, Bronzong, and many others, even Toxapex is used more than Chansey in Double Battles.
It's a good supporter in Tera Raids, Chansey can use Helping Hand and Heal Pulse to support its teammates, it has access to Soft-Boiled to heal itself, the Tera Raids Chansey or Blissey don't do well in are Pokémon that have Physical Attacks or know Taunt, Healer is the ideal Ability for Tera Raids, that way it can heal a teammate's status condition.
