Here is the Extra Lightning Cup, and to unlock it, you need to have collected 100 coins total in the Lightning Cup after completing all five of the Grand Prix cups. This one has the last two Flower Cup tracks from Super Mario Kart and the first two Star Cup tracks from that game, the tracks are Bowser Castle 2, Mario Circuit 3, Koopa Beach 1, and Choco Island 2.
I use Bowser for the Grand Prix, and this is the last character out of the 8 playable characters in this game that I have used, Bowser is the heaviest character in the game, and I don't usually like to use heavyweight characters in this game as they don't have the best acceleration. Bowser's rival order in the Grand Prix is Donkey Kong, Peach, Mario, Yoshi, Toad, Luigi, and Wario.
As with the tracks in the Extra Lightning Cup, the background for Bowser Castle 2 uses the backgroud of the track of the same name from this game, and Thwomps were removed in that version. Mario Circuit 3 uses the background from Mario Circuit from this game, but with some of the hazards removed, Koopa Beach 1 is the next course, and this is one of the shorter courses in Super Mario Kart, and it uses the background from Shy Guy Beach, as the pirate ship can be seen in the background, and Cheep Cheeps were removed from the course, and last is Choco Island 2, with the background for Sunset Wilds, and some hazards, like Piranha Plants, were removed, there are two more cups left in the Extra cups.
