Alear and the others take a ship to Elusia, but before then, Zephia then reports to Sombron about the loss of their Emblem Rings, and how they can find a way to power up Veyle's draconic powers. During the ship ride, they then come across two Elusian ships, and one of which is led by an expected opponent.

We begin the Chapter 18 battle, and Zephia receives some kind of helmet that can help increase Veyle's draconic powers, and so that her evil personality will be awake forever. Then we get a report from Vander that two Elusian ships have appeared, and our battles takes place on Elusian ships, and it introduces flame cannons, which can be used to set fire in a set area, which can be helpful in keeping enemies in check, but the fire will always leave them at 1 HP, and you can even damage your allies if you are not careful.
There are two chests on the map, a Speedwing on the left side, which a Thief will go for, and if you have Lyn equipped to one of your units, you can use Astra Storm to take out the Thief to claim the Speedwing, or you can send some units on the left side to take out the Thief, and on the right side of the map is a Second Seal inside the chest.
The boss of this map is Abyme, the Elusian general that we fought back in Chapter 3, she was the Armored Knight back then, but right now she is a Berserker with a Tomahawk. There is also a Sage named Lindon, he is on the eastern ship, and can can use the Magic Artillery, and he is a recruitable unit, and the only one that starts out as an enemy. To recruit Lindon, you need to talk to him with Alear, Ivy, or Hortensia, and he comes as a Level 5 Sage.
Lindon's personal skill is Weapon Insight, what that does is that if Lindon is equipped with a weapon of a lower level than the foe he is facing in combat, this grants him Crit+20, for example, if he has Fire equipped and he is up against a high level weapon, like a Brave Axe or Killing Edge, that is when the higher crit rate comes in. The class skill for Sage boosts Lindon's attack based on the number of adjacent allies with tomes, and as you will likely bring Ivy or Hortensia with you to recruit him, this works well with Lindon, and it can activate if he has a tome active. He does come with Thoron, a high rank Thunder tome, which can come to good use.
While this map isn't as hard as Chapter 17, you do have to watch out for the enemies on the map, like the Wyvern Knights, Armored Knights, Mages, and many others, prepare your units or make use of the flame cannons to help in this map.
Abyme is a Berserker, and she does have dialogue when you have Lindon fight her, Smash+ is the class skill for Berserker, but she doesn't have any smash weapons to put that to use, but she does have Cornered Beast, this increases her crit rate by 30 if her HP is below 50%, this can make her a dangerous opponent, and this is normally a Maddening exclusive skill for the Berserker class, but she does have that skill even on Normal mode. She does have a Revival Stone, and as she has low Resistance, you can put Lindon's Thoron to good use, and get in some good magic attacks, as well as chain attacks and engage attacks off, and if you didn't recruit Lindon, he does not join you if you didn't talk to him, as he is an enemy on the map, or if you kill him in this battle.
Then we explore the ship, and then make it back to the Somniel, and the Emblems discuss about the miracle and who they should use it on once we have gathered all 12 Emblem Rings.
