This chapter was harder than I'd thought. 20 turns may seem like too much to fulfil the chapter objective, but when you feed exp to underlevelled units it seems like you could take twice as many turns to spread it evenly in the way you want. We have to kill Zola and the two generic General bosses to end the chapter, but of course we want as much exp as we can get out of these 20 turns not to mention the two chests with the rewards they offer.
RNG for the map:
Bench: Mozu, Selena, Gunter, Charlotte, Silas, Camilla, Arthur, Jakob, Beruka, Kaze, Odin
Corrin 5/34 - Spear Master
Laslow 7/23 - Archer
Nyx 5/21 - Shrine Maiden
Xander 1/33 - Swordmaster
Shura 4/33 - Blacksmith
Effie 30/31 - Witch
Keaton 21/24 - Grandmaster
Benny 17/23 - Troubadour
Azura 5/22 - Shrine Maiden
Felicia 2/31 - Master of Arms
Elise 6/21 - Sky Knight
Leo 21/33 - Adventurer
Peri 11/21 - Knight
Niles 15/23 - Wyvern Rider
Xander got a sword-using class yet again, and it's a speedy class this time, so he functions even better with the Speedwings I gave him before the last map. The Armorslayer forge I made for this map works wonders for the tough general enemies in the southwestern area, as does a Hammer Master of Arms Felicia is able to use. On the subject of effective weaponry, Peri had a Beast Killer that she could use with her base weapon levels as a Knight, but never really got around to it... Maybe in the Fox Hell? :p
The number of healers present in this map is really abundant and perhaps overkill - none of them really get to learn anything useful (who cares about Miracle and Res+2?). Adventurer Leo also mostly does staffboting since it's not the best class for raw damage even if he may double often enough and tank Sorc attacks really easily.
Overall, the map took quite a while because aside from Xander and Effie not many were able to fight all that wall. Marf couldn't double and Felicia was hardly self-sufficient, even if she hit as a brick with Trample + Life or Death learnt in this map.
I made sure to level up underlevelled folks like Niles and learn some good skills. Laslow was sorta underlevelled a couple maps ago, but now has joined the ranks of my promoted growth units alongside Marf, Effie and Mozu. I do expect more to come soon.
Seal Speed was probably the highlight of the skills learnt here. Marf is always in and who knows what enemies he could cripple by debuffing their speed by -6 in the future.
As for the map, I found a reliable enough way to deal with just about everything on it while maximising exp gain. The least favourite part is easily entering the area just before the boss. The paired-up Sorcs and Heroes attack in tandem and even if you try to bait the Sorcs alone, they won't move a tile unless the Heroes can attack somebody too. They Seal the other defensive stat too, and pack like ~40 Mt targeting def and res respectively, so I found no better way to deal with them than prepare a unit who could take one hit with dual guard shields maxed in preparation. Effie with her Keaton pair-up worked wonderfully here, and Laslow's Rally allowed her to double AND have +5 str over the Heroes for her personal skill to activate and let her 2HKO. Gotta love how Effie's huge strength stat helps her even when she's a Witch...
