From now on, the last couple of minutes of every video in this series will show the characters' attack animations in their newfangled classes. This was requested and since I showed General Felicia attacking in the first video, I thought it was a pretty good idea. Of course, those who just want to see the gameplay can skip that part very easily (as it's at the very end).

The randomisation involved in this run is fairly straightforward as I don't have to roll the units that will be participating - it's just Azura and Corrin who are always in and who will have their new random reclasses generated. Gunter starts outside the party and can't be customised or traded with via the game's menu.

I was really worried for the rolls in this map as I feared that there's a combination possible that can render the chapter unbeatable. I can see how those fears weren't grounded in reality now, because what the RNG gave me was possibly the worst roll imaginable:

(everyone but Corrin and Azura benched with no rolls necessary)
Corrin 20/24 - Ballistician
Azura 17/22 - Troubadour

While Azura could have respectable offensive bases in any physical class, she got a class that cannot fight instead. If the same were to happen to Corrin, I'm sure I'd just promote him to Butler early and have a good 1-2 range combat unit in this map, but I'd rather not deprive Azura of the levels to improve herself that she has until promotion.

Corrin gets Ballistician, which he had two maps before. The consequences include poor movement, lack of counters against most enemies in most situations and very low speed for a -spd Corn. I really feared for the worst here.

In reality, the map is playable enough, even if slowly, as both Corrin and Gunter can take their time to kill a single enemy without doubling being possible. You have to 20 turns to either escape or defeat the boss with Replicas on the southern island, and while escaping is easy, it's not impossible to reach the boss by turn 20 without rushing and just chipping away at the enemies, not skipping any opportunity for experience.

I focus most exp on Corrin; naturally, it snowballs and he gets to the point where he barely receives any exp from facing or defeating foes. The 2 spd level-ups acquired here are invaluable, I should think. Azura gets to heal both the dudes and their Replicas on two different islands, so she also levels up a bit, getting to D-rank staves (which may or may not be of assistance at a later time).

Speaking of Gunter, his class can't be randomised (or rather, it can, but the moment I exit the map to, say, adjust meals or talk to people in My Castle for materials or go shopping/forging, it will be reset back to Great Knight, which is really inconvenient as I'd need to edit my save again), which was also the case for Peri, Laslow and Leo earlier in the challenge, and while none of those benefited from a Heart Seal being used in their join maps, Gunter actually does, because the promoted Wyvern skills can be quite good. I don't care much about combat skills like Trample, since Gunter should never end up a proficient unit in battle, but Wyvern Lord's Rally Defence is easy to learn in just three levels and gives Gunter utility in any map he happens to be randomly selected for. Gunter actually gains experience faster than Corrin here, as I think the game recognises him as having promoted at an impossibly low level for the purposes of exp calculations.

All the chipping at things with bows causes Corrin to get bow rank all the way up, and D rank lets me attack at 1-range with Mini Bow, which was bought specifically for this chapter and could help somebody out later on too. I'm sure that Corrin will appreciate existing bow rank in the event that he gets another bow-wielding class in the future.

The boss isn't too hard to defeat even taking into account his doubling both of my combat units. Corrin and Gunter give each other plenty of hit with their skills, and their bronze weapons are accurate too.

Corrin gets to lv. 20 at the end of it all, which means no more unpromoted skills will be learnt. I don't promote him just yet (a good question would be 'into what' since he's still a Ballistician when the map is over) as getting a DLC reclass in the next map would mean he can get that elusive 'phantom level-up' between levels 20 and 21 that only DLC reclassing can grant you.

With Gunter joining the party and Corrin reaching promotion range, things are looking quite promising as access to promoted class sets seems to make this run a whole lot more exciting if Felicia and Camilla experience is of any indication, and it's a good contrast to grinding large armies of underlevelled blokes all the way up to promotion.
