Fire Emblem Thracia 776 - Super Nintendo - Intro & Chapter 1 [HD 1080p 60fps]
The fifth and final game in the series on Super Nintendo, Fire Emblem Thracia 776 was one of the last games released on the system, first released on the Nintendo Power cartridge in September the 1st 1999. A later home cartridge version came out in January of 2000. Thracia 776 story takes place during some of the later chapters of the previous title in the series Genealogy of the Holy War which is the forth game in the series. Leaf the hero of Thracia 776 is also a playable character in the previous title also. Thracia 776 uses a improved version of the Genealogy of the Holy War engine so the graphics don't look that much better. Gameplay wise Thracia 776 returns to the smaller skirmish battles of the third game, unlike the huge battlefields of Genealogy of the Holy War. New features include the ability to capture enemy units and steal their items. There's also the fog of war mechanic which only made an appearance in this title to date. It's also widely regarded as one of the hardest games in the series so not a good starting point for new comers for the series. Still as one of the last games on the system it is a very fitting swansong for the Super Nintendo. This video was captured using the DX Nintendo Power version of the game, which we think is the later Nintendo Power revision, there at least two versions of the Nintendo Power release on top of the stand alone cartridge release.
