I've been playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses for 80 hours so far (on Hard difficulty with perma-death enabled), and the ending is still nowhere in sight. The game's extreme amount of content includes 20+ chapters of story content, hundreds of fully voiced NPC interactions as well as layer upon layer of mechanics and stats relating to the highly addictive development of your soldiers through training and relationship building. Add to that a New Game+ mode which from what I've read appears to make a lot of smart changes to encourage and facilitate repeat playthroughs, and it's clear that this is one of the most generous €60 offerings of 2019.

For all its addictive qualities as a strategy RPG, though, Three Houses doesn't quite have the novelty or variety of the Persona series (which clearly inspired the newer additions to the Fire Emblem formula), and the basic structure of the game does get fairly repetitive after a while. Also, by following a few basic recommendations from online sources regarding ideal time management etc., I might have pushed the min-maxing a bit too hard in the early parts of the game. As a result, there have (at least so far) been considerably fewer meaningful social activities to partake in during the second half of the campaign compared to the first, which makes the downtime inbetween combat scenarios feel more like a chore than I would have liked.
