It is the ultimate battle between the Adrestian Empire and the Church of Seiros, or well, Byleth and every students that he has recruited so far. Our objective is to protect Rhea from the Imperial Army, and that we must stop Edelgard and her troops from invading the Monastery, so we also have to take on Hubert and the Death Knight as well.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

The battle for Garreg Mach between the Church of Seiros and the Adrestian Empire is beginning, and we get some really intense music, it is called "Roar of Dominion", which sets it well for being the final chapter in the 1st part of the game. This fight is completely different in Black Eagles if you side with Edelgard, but I won't go too far into explaining about it.
There are some Ballistae on this map, so your Archers can attack from a long range, and the Onager, which cannot be used by mounted or magic users, they can be good for attacking opponents at a long rage, as there are a lot of Archers and Pegasus Knights on this map.
Rhea will be at the starting point, and you must not let her be defeated in battle, she is equipped with the Sword of Seiros, a weapon you cannot obtain in this game, it heals 50% of damage done and restores HP every turn, and it is a Sacred Weapon tied to the Crest of Seiros, she also has the Seiros Shield as well. Rhea has some powerful spells like Agnea's Arrow and Bolganone, so she can handle opponents without too many problems, but don't let her be defeated.
If Hanneman or Manuela were not recruited, they appear as NPCs, Hanneman would be using a Fire Orb to attack from a long distance.
The first objective is to capture the strongholds, one is guarded by Hubert, and the other is guarded by the Death Knight, and they are tough opponents. Hubert shouldn't be too difficult, as his Defense is very low, so any physical unit can take him down, but don't use any magic attacks against his high Res. On Maddening difficulty, Hubert would have a Prayer Ring, which you can steal from him in the Thief class, and his high Magic stat can be dangerous to any units with low Res, he does have unique dialogue if Byleth or any Black Eagles students fight him.
The Death Knight is back again, and you should be able to stand up to him, and defeating him does give you a Dark Seal. If you have a Horseslayer or a Lance unit with Knightkneeler, they should be able to handle the Death Knight, but watch out for his Counterattack, an enemy Cavalier has a Crescent Sickle which you can get after defeating him.
When you have defeated Hubert, some reinforcements led by a Sniper, which would be Shamir if you didn't recruit her, appear. Defeating the Death Knight will bring reinforcements led by a Swordmaster with a Killing Edge, that would be Catherine if you didn't recruit her.
Randolph, one of the generals, will start moving once Hubert and the Death Knight are defeated, he is a Warrior, and he does have special dialogue if you let Caspar fight him. Randolph's Personal Ability is General, which prevents him from being defeated in one hit and reducing the effectiveness of Gambits. He has Axe Crit +10, so he can get an easy critical hit, and he has a lot of HP and Strength, but if you have some good magic users, they can target his lower Res.
The other general is Ladislava, she is a Wyvern Rider with Axefaire and Avo +10, she has a higher chance of avoiding attacks. She has good Defense, but her Res is lower, magic attacks can do well against her, she has a Silver Axe for her weapon. On the Black Eagles route if you side with Edelgard, Ladislava is a Paladin in that fight.
Last up is Edelgard, in her unique Flame Emperor class, she starts moving when you have defeated Randolph. She has Counterattack, much like the Death Knight, and she can counter attacks from far away, don't know if she can counter from a Ballista or Fire Orb. She does have special dialogue if you let Byleth, Dimitri, or any Black Eagles student fight her. Because of her high Charm stat, she does come with Flame Emperor Co, a Battalion that can use Raging Flames, it has a very wide range and can set forests and grassland in flames. She has high Defense, making her a very tough opponent. I would save some good Gambit users for her, as well as some good Heroes' Relics and other good weapons.
After the battle is done, we get a cutscene where we see a white dragon known as The Immaculate One, so back when I explained about the White Dragon Staff, The Immaculate One is that creature it is referring to, and it is the end of the 1st part of the game.
