We are now at part 2 of the story, so this is the Azure Moon route. Byleth wakes up to find that five years have past, and that Fódlan is at war. He then finds out that Dimitri has become a vengeful murderer, and that Garreg Mach Monastery is infested with thieves, so we set out to stop the thieves, and hopefully reunite with the rest of the Blue Lions students.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Five years have past since the battle at Garreg Mach, and Byleth wakes up to find out that it is the case and the Monastery has been abandoned, and that it is almost the millennium festival, which would have been celebrated had the war not started. At least Sothis appears, by voice during that scene before Byleth's awakening. This is the War Phase, or the timeskip as most fans refer to this part as, and this is the Azure Moon route.
Byleth then finds Dimitri, who now has an eyepatch and cares more about vengeance than anything else, and they find the Monastery is now a hideout for thieves.
At the start of the fight, it will just be Byleth and Dimitri. Dimitri will be in his new class called High Lord, which gives him the skills Charm and Lancefaire, and he automatically has a Battalion called King of Lion Corps, giving him huge boosts to Strength, Charm, and Crit rate, and the Gambit is Wave Attack, which has a very wide range and is effective against Armored units. If equipped with a Killer Lance and if Dimitri has both Battalion Wrath and Battalion Vantage, he can get a 100% chance of getting a critical hit, Dimitri is overpowered at this point in the game, and specially if you have a unit with a Gambit that gives him Retribution, which allows Dimitri to counterattack no matter the range. Dimitri has a new Personal Ability called Royal Lineage+, which gives him +20 Avoid if he is at full health, and he does keep the experience multiplier by 1.2 from Royal Lineage. I have heard that most players go the Paladin route for Dimitri, and High Lord is a great class for him, and I've seen some say that Swordmaster and Wyvern Lord are good options, but Wyvern Lord is very tricky, as Dimitri has a bane in Axes, and you need to have promoted him to Wyvern Rider prior to this chapter, so I would stick with either Paladin or Swordmaster in part 1, because High Lord is a good enough class for him.
Defeating the thieves gives you some good items, like Concoctions, Antitoxins, one of them has a Hexlock Shield, and some weapons, like Silver Sword, Blessed Bow, and a few others, and some have keys which you can use to open chests.
When you progress further into the map, player reinforcements will appear, from the northwest, Ashe and Gilbert arrive, while Mercedes and Annette appear from the southwest. Gilbert is a new unit, the downside is that he join in the timeskip, or part 2, and he joins as a Fortress Knight, while he has good Defense, the downside is his very low Speed, so he will have a difficult time against speedy opponents, like most of the thieves on this map.
When you reach the 9th column of this map, Sylvain, Ingrid, and Felix arrive from the northeastern part of the map. You can have Byleth talk with the Blue Lions units to get some dialogue.
I will go over each chests on this map, you can get an Armorslayer from one of them, another has a Silver Lance, another has a Cursed Ashiya Sword, which inflicts 5 damage to the wielder, but it has a high critical hit rate. Another chest has the Axe of Ukonvasara, a Sacred Weapon tied to the Crest of Gloucester, it restores HP every turn, and if unit has that Crest, the effect increases, the only playable units to have the Crest of Gloucester are Lysithea and Lorenz, Lysithea should not be using it as she does not have good Strength, and as the Axe of Ukonvasara requires an A Rank in Axe, Lorenz doesn't have strengths or weaknesses in Axe, but as it is a Sacred Weapon, any unit can use it without any drawbacks.
The boss of this chapter is Pallardó, the leader of the thieves, his Battalion can use the Poison Tactic Gambit, and some of the thieves have the Venin weapons to inflict poison. He shouldn't be too difficult, while he does have good Speed, we've fought harder opponents than him. When defeated, it turns out to be a decoy, and the real Pallardó will escape, and he has a Speed Ring, which he will drop when defeated. The real Pallardó has higher Attack and Speed than the decoy, so he can be a bit trickier, and he has Vantage and Avoid +10, and he also has Pass, so he can get through spaces occupied by enemies.
With the chapter completed, the Blue Lions are back together, except for Dedue, and we learn about his fate. We then find out that Fhirdiad, the Kingdom Capital, has been invaded by a woman named Cornelia, who appears in a flashback scene with Gilbert, and we return back to the Monastery after all of these years.
