The final character (for now) to meet in Roundtable Hold turns out to be an NPC invader named Mad Tongue Alberich. They're the cause of the enormous amount of bloodstains seen from the balcony near Rogier.

NPC invader AI in Elden Ring is significantly improved over Dark Souls 3, using a super wide moveset, jump attacks, great use of weapon skills, fantastic spacing, adjusting attack timing, mixing up spells to synergize with other attacks, etc.

It turns out that Alberich is basically meant to be the model for a human invader where the host may not be so well prepared. Considering that defeating them grants an item that allows invaders to enter your world (aka not just in co-op) & makes it possible for more than one invader to show up, I think this fight is a gateway to require the player to be ready for an invader who not only would out-play most hosts & invaders I've fought in the past, but is also very well geared.
