Finally made my way to Liurnia of the Lakes, apparently the location of Raya Lucaria where I expect to learn some great spells. Even with just entering the area, I encounter the first sorcery vendor since Sellen. Unfortunately, Thopes (apologies for mispronouncing his name for the next 60 hours or so) fails to have anything of much use, besides the Starlight spell. Funny enough, despite the FP cost being somewhat daunting, it was one of the earlier hints that I really should have invested more in Mind rather than going almost entirely for Intelligence.

Interesting thing about Liurnia being a magical place is that even the knights use at least some magic, such as the Cuckoo Glintstone items, which can be thrown to produce a few magic projectiles that home in on targets. Also interesting is that I'm realizing I might not ever have seen Cuckoo spelled out and not just heard in Looney Tunes, and it took a while to untangle that in my brain.

Even though Raya Lucaria was in my sights, I decided to take a break in Roundtable Hold to look around and meet everyone. I'll be returning here quite often considering this is basically the game's hub area.

Thanks to Bandai Namco for the key!
