Fixing Everything 1.20.5 Broke in My World - Talon's Oasis - Ep 132
391.20.5 brings new features and new problems. We'll be looking at the technical side of both of those today. We'll start by checking the feedback we submitted in episode 125 (), and we'll look at the new custom crafting, fix some bugs, and update things to the new item components system. But some bugs will not be overcome, and one such one strikes at the very heart of the Pokemob project...
Extra Stuff:
- One of the cool new changes that I didn't touch on is that there is an updated tick F3 screen. It's supposedly more readable, which is cool that they tried to make it less painful to debug things and find problems.
- The Hologram datapack caused issues. I skipped over repairing it since it was similar to some of the other stuff, but I was turning blocks into holograms with my regular pickaxe; it was pretty bad. Fortunately, I didn't hologram-ize anything important like a shulker box (throwback to last time 🤣).
- I ran out of time to cover this, but Team worked super weird on the Pokemob stuff at the end. Team worked when run through the loot table, but not when run through the regular commands. I have no idea why, especially since both tags existed on the spawn eggs in the same way with no discernable difference. It is a strange puzzle. If you have any suggestions, let me know...
Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
