Upgrading Old Gadgets With Custom Enchantments in 1.21 - Talon's Oasis - Ep 138
22More custom enchantments! (They're super awesome!) We'll be breathing new life into some of my old command block projects like the Hologram pickaxe, the Fishing Rod of Equal Trade, and the Firework TNT Crossbow. We'll also take a peek at how the new crafter works and see if we can slot it into our iron farm. Should be a fun learning experience!
Extra Stuff:
*Enchantment Tags* - There's actually a lot of built-in tag logic. For example, putting an enchant in the curse tag causes it to be unenchantable and have a red name, tradeable lets it appear in villager trades, on_mob_spawn_equipment lets it generate on mobs, which is a huge one. *Enchanting Levels* - If you're wondering how I got the enchantment to appear at different levels in the enchanting table, it was by changing the min_cost of the enchantment file. Lowering that number allowed it to appear in the 1 lapis slot and putting it to 15 moved it up to the 3 lapis slot. Pretty useful information!
*Equal Trade is Fixed!* - Turns out there was an old advancement that had been broken and was just triggering constantly. It was causing all the weird behavior. The enchantment was working 100% fine. So I deleted it and things are all good now!
Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
