What Treasure Lies At The Heart Of The Space Station? (Custom Dungeon) - Talon's Oasis - Ep 130
We're working on our custom dungeon today where I'll be attempting to decide what the central reward/draw of the space station should be. We look at some vanilla Minecraft examples and then spend a bit of time trying to get the tradeoff just right. It's a pretty fun episode where I got to learn a lot about an item I've never used before.
Extra Stuff:
- Those villagers only reset their trades once or twice a day! I went through around 10 stacks of iron blocks to get all the quartz blocks and who knows how much coal to turn it into smooth quartz. This is an expensive build!
- I didn't have time to add in the junk items, but I was thinking food would be a good choice (since it's scarce in space and necessary for movement), maybe some trail ruin trims like Host, Shaper, or Raiser, and various Turtle Helmets with the chosen trim to look like space helmets.
- To fill in the gaps between rooms, I had an idea to put jigsaws on walls instead of just openings. This would ensure it would always fill up the shape of the space station even if some of the rooms were disconnected from the main structure, and I think it would make it look overall nicer.
Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
