Teaching Pandas To Fly - Talon's Oasis - Ep 129
12It's time to fix the broken AI in the space dimension. We'll be looking into ways that we can move the entity in the direction it wanted to go while it isn't on the ground (which is very difficult actually). We'll use our upside-down pandas to test this, at least until something goes terribly, terribly wrong in the testing...
Extra Stuff:
- I realized after the fact that the reason Rotation to Motion didn't work was because of the 10.0 cap on Motion. If I would have adjusted the scaling to account for that it probably would have worked. But now I have an entire system based on the other way of doing it. 🙃
- I actually encountered a really, really old bug in making this video. ( https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-73887 ) It basically prevents the testing of any individual list element because you can't specify a specific one. That's why we had to create scoreboards for the motion in addition to the rotation scoreboards.
- I did a ton of testing with the Warden that didn't make it into the episode, and basically, the whole system kinda messes the warden up. It can even interrupt his sonic beam and other actions. We might have to make special movement rules for just him later. The current workaround is to just not target him with any OnGround stuff or Motion tag stuff, and he kinda ends up being a sonic beam turret, which isn't a terrible thing.
Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
