Flat Heroes is a Arena based Dodge game... in some way. So you got your quadratic hero, that dodge different kinds of dangers. Like a rain of bullets, homing time bombs, ricochet shots, giant bullets that slip into two smaller bullets when hitting the wall, that aims for you and flings themselves at you.
Aside the rain of bullets all things directly aim at you.
At least for the enemies i encountered so far.

By the way, each hit kills you and you have to restart the level.

So far i think the game got a nice difficulty curve and introduces into the new types of dangers one by one, so that you learn how to deal with them. Later levels combine multiple type of dangers and this gets a little chaotic. But sometimes the RNG works in your favor.

The game is minimalistic, you can like it or not, this is a style of choice. I think it fits the game pretty well and it makes it easier to make out the different dangers, platforms and of course yourself.
