The quest is a new game made in the style of old grid based rpg's, with a turn based battle system. The game is similar to Might & Magic X (10), but with the colorful style and the open world of Might & Magic 6. I played the game originally on my Mobile Phone and this is basically a PC Port to it. But the game got full keyboard and mouse support, so this isn't meant in a negative way. But what i can tell from playing the game for hours on the phone is, that the world is really big. With different towns/villages lots of dungeons and things you can collect on the overworld. The map is helpful and you can even leave notes on the map, to not only mark interesting places, but also to write down why this place is interesting.
What i kind off miss here, is one or two Party Members. Your character is usually alone. Having a party of members would not only open the oportunity to have different specialists on hand all the time, but would also allow interactions between the different members.
But aside that the game is really worth the money you spend for it. But i have to say, that i only played the main quest (hehe) game, which means i can't say much about the DLC.
