FLYFF (or as it is known now, FLYFF Gold) was released in 2004 and was an instant hit with early mmo fans of that era. Though the game is mainly developed by Gala Lab Corp. it has had a number of publishers, the latest being Webzen.

I remember playing this game back in the day and I had played nothing like it
then, I can understand why it had lasted so long. The game offered a lot to its players, including flying and battling in the air, which was a first at the time. A number of different classes with their own unique skill sets, looks, and capabilities.

SO! how has it held up today? well.. initially logging in, I was surprised to see so many players around the first town, so the game ain't completely dead, that's a plus for anyone wanting to play this classic. I DID suffer a disconnect but that was probably due to me installing other games whilst playing and recording this video also.

Its graphics look dated now but still have an odd new look to parts of the game, I personally think it's the ground that lets this game down graphically now, if the devs decided to add in grass, flowers, etc. to hide the blurred floors it would look much better.

The music and sound effects.. man, playing this game and the music brings back memories for me, catchy tunes, striking of weapons, skills casting, monster noises as you run past them.. I loved it back then and still love it today.

Would I recommend anyone today to play this game? sure if they are looking to play an old classic. Are there better games with better graphics, sound effects and music..? of course! but this game is a classic and deserves to be played by the mmo gaming generation of today looking to explore older mmos.

If your interested in trying this classic Mmo game then you can find it here..
