4The all-new Ford GT is a lightweight, high-performance sports car that boasts an impressive mid-engine design and carbon-fiber construction. It follows up on Ford's original GT, available in the mid-2000s, which was itself a retro-themed design based on a successful 1960s Ford race car called the GT40.
Expected to cost around $200,000, the GT boasts Ford's most powerful EcoBoost engine ever, a twin-turbocharged V6 capable of around 600 horsepower. Add that to the car's low-slung looks, its driver-focused cockpit and Ford's proven high-performance track record, and we suspect the GT will be a massive hit.
Best of all, the newly revealed Ford GT isn't just some outlandish concept car; it'll actually reach dealers in this form, likely sometime in 2016.
