Forgotten Anne is an anime-like Adventure-Platform game that was released in 2018, developed by ThroughLine Games and part of the Square Collective, which is no surprise there.
This game's animation is just fantastic, not only for the cutscenes but for the actual game itself. The animation and story reminds me so much of something that Studio Ghibli would pull out of it's hat.
The music and sound effects in areas are great and suit the game very well, and the voice overs for all the characters are so well done. The level designs are seemingly integrated with each other that makes the world come alive.
Anne has a unique ability to draw energy from objects and then use that energy to power other items, such as batteries to make mechanical things work such as cranes, train lines, levers, doors, etc.
IF you haven't played this game yet I really recommend you do, especially if your into Studio Ghibli type storytelling and their early animation.
