Wonderboy: The Dragon's Trap was released in 2017, developed by Lizarcube, and published by DotEmu, Nicalis, Headup Games. The game is a remake from the old 1989 Wonderboy III and released on multiple platforms.


Whilst i'm not much of a platformer person I remember playing the old 1989 version of this game, so when this remake was released I just had to have it. I love the fact you can change the game from the new updated graphics to the old graphics just by 1 press of a single button.

The music is nice, graphics are very cartoon-like if you play the remake version, I also love that you can switch the game to play Wondergirl instead also, the developers really crammed a lot into this game.

If this game has one problem for me is that some of the monsters are placed so strategically that you just can't dodge from being hit, especially those damn fireball clouds that are too high to attack.
