Freedom Tower 2 - Game Walkthrough (all levels)
15Freedom Tower 2 presumably takes place 100 hundred years after the events of the first game. The intro for the game states that the Earth had survived an alien attack over a century ago which presumably alludes to the first game. In Freedom Tower 2 the aliens are back and they want to invade Earth for its natural energy resources. The people of Earth won’t be backing down so easily though. Mount your towers and fight for the people of Earth and for survival.
Aesthetics:
The game’s visuals come off as something so classic. The presentation can fall on the line of being cartoony but in a serious sense. They use a lot of black in the visuals which isn’t that bad. The lighter colors are used to highlight the different things on the screen like your tower, your allies, your weapons and the enemies. The animations are fluent and the lighting is perfect. Freedom Tower 2’s audio has that adrenaline pumping tune to it being a hard rock and roll theme. It’s perfect for gunning down aliens and fighting for survival.
Gameplay:
Freedom Tower 2 is a defense game where you being the tower have to survive a barrage of enemies. Your tower has a life bar so when that life bar goes down, its game over but you can always restart the level or try again. The way to shoot down enemies is simple. You just aim your tower to where the direction you would want to fire. Just shoot with the use of your mouse and eliminate all enemies on sight. Watch out for your tower’s gun’s energy gauge. When it depletes it overheats and takes a little bit of time to recharge so watch out for that. You won’t run of ammo though so that’s one good thing but the overheating aspect prevents you from spamming your shots so to speak. When you progress through the levels you will be awarded with a different gun in some levels. Different guns offer different variety in terms of firepower and utility. The good thing is that you can swap those guns anytime you would need and each gun as a different overheat gauge so that allows you to swap them when needed. You will also gain allies in battle by pressing the button to summon them. You can’t control them though as they move on their own and would die but respawn later on. When you finish a level you are awarded stars depending on how well you did. You’ll get one star as the lowest and three being the highest. You would really want to get those three stars as they will be used for upgrades. You can use the upgrades to improve any of your guns’ capabilities and other specialties. You will also gain special weapons that you can use as well as upgrades for your allies. You have to focus on which upgrade you would want to use and strengthen in the long run.
