In this video, I'm doing a gameplay video of a game that I already did a gameplay and a one life challenge video, back on my old channel. That game is: Galaga for the Nintendo Entertainment System (aka NES). This game was developed and published by Namco, it was first released in the Arcade in 1981. The game was ported to many computers, consoles and handhelds, same as Pac-Man. Galaga was also being found on some Namco compilation packs. Galaga was also on the Virtual Console, such as: Wii, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. This game was also re-released in the game selection of the NES Classic Mini Edition, same as Pac-Man. The player controls a starfighter that can move left and right along the bottom of the playfield. The objective of Galaga is to score as many points as possible by destroying insect-like enemies. After a few stages you complete, there is also a bonus "Challenging stage" were you have to shoot the enemies to get some bonus points. If you shoot all the enemies in the Challenging stage, you get a special bonus of 10000 points, if you miss a few enemies, you get some normal points. At the end of the game, if you have no more lives left, the game is over and the result shows on how many shots you fired, number of hits and a hit-miss ratio. I remember playing the NES version a lot, because of the challenging in this game. Galaga appeared in many movies, such as: WarGames (1983), The Karate Kid (1984), Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) and Pixels (2015). Galaga was also showed in the 2012 movie: The Avengers. Upon entering S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier, Tony Stark catches an agent playing Galaga (NES) version and saying: "That man is playing Galaga. Thought we wouldn't notice, but we did." After the Avengers' team meeting, the agent returns to his game. BTW, I loved that movie, because of Marvel. Overall, Galaga is a pretty fun Arcade conversion on the NES, if you like this game, then give it a try. I hope you enjoy this gameplay video of Galaga for the NES and thanks for watching!
