In this video, I'm doing another playthrough on this channel and this time I'm playing a game that is based on the French comic series: Asterix and Obelix. That's right, I'm doing a playthrough of Asterix for the Arcade. This game was developed and published by Konami, it was released only in the Arcade in 1992. I remember playing this game at the snack bar, when I was a kid and I also remembered playing the other Asterix games on the Commodore 64, Game Boy and NES. Good old times! Asterix is a horizontal-scrolling beat'em up arcade game that you can play as the two characters: Asterix or Obelix and fighting against the Roman Empire. There are 7 stages and 2 bonus stages in this arcade game. About the 2 bonus stages: The first one is a chariot race were you have to try to reach the finish line and the second bonus stage is break the barrels and collect bonusses at the Pirate ship. Since this game is too difficult at default settings, which you have 3 continues, so I had to change the difficulty to Medium and unlimited continues. Overall, Asterix for the Arcade is a pretty good beat'em up if you like the old Asterix comics, cartoon movies and other video games with Asterix and Obelix.
